This week, I had a special request in the workshop; to repairing car seat which is from ’70!
As you can see from this pic above, the leather itself has been already break and I found that it was already repaired several times… Therefore I started to find the leather pieces to make the old leather part to support from underneath.
今週、工房のオーナーから車のシート部分を手縫い修理できるか？との相談を受けました。。。
車のシートはかなり古く、70年代のものだとか。。。御覧の通り破けた部分は革がちぎれており、かなりもろくなっていました。
もちろん、今までに車のシートの修理なんてしたこともないので、オーナーにはとりあえず、「やってみます・・・」
と返答し（笑）細部をチェックするとすでに何度か修理を施した縫いありました。
とりあえず、もろくなった革部分を補強するため、裏側にもう1枚革を張り付け縫っても引きちぎれないように補強し縫ってみることに。

レザー部分がすでに破けて傷口のようにぱっくり開いてしまっていたため、縫うのに一苦労。そこで、ベルトをシートに巻き付け両側から押さえつけるような状態にし縫ってみることに。
Somehow, I managed to sew it together.
なんとか縫いあがりました。
There was one more part that I had to sew in the piddle of the seat like this.
Felt like I was a surgent!
座面中央部分も縫い目がパックリ割れていたので修理。
外科医のようだね！と工房のおじさんたちに言われながらなんとか修理完了！
